step one: Launch
|
Inception
Defining the project scope, selecting project deliverables, identifying required
resources and project stakeholders, documenting project risks, and building
conceptual design documents are the key segments of the Inception step. During
inception it is also critical that exactly what constitutes the project’s successful
completion is defined and communicated.
Requirements
Moving from objectives to detailed business and technical requirements completes
the project’s definition of scope. The requirements will drive the remaining steps
and segments of the project. All modules and components will be tied to one or more
requirements. Interaction with the client is crucial.
